At Friendemic, we know that franchise dealers do a lot of things right. In a previous article we reported that consumers agree with us, as they are posting fewer and fewer negative dealer reviews. When it comes to local searches for service, however, there is room for improvement and advise that separating sales and service departments in Google My Business will gain dealerships more local service traffic.

While there are many franchise dealers offering engine replacement and new tires “near me,” none has achieved relevancy or prominence in the Google graph. According to Google, “Relevance, distance and the prominence of the business all contribute to its standing in local search results.” Both relevance and prominence can be optimized by adding a separate Google My Business service listing.
